Course Review

BUBBLES MAKER

Children 8 years and up can join in the family fun of scuba diving or even start a trend! With youngsters in mind, the maximum depth is only 2 meters. Typical sessions last about an hour (sign up, gear up and fun included). Celebrate a birthday by throwing an exciting Bubblemaker party with friends and family. It’s fun, easy and safe

PADI DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING

You can take the plunge in just half a day with this experience. Discover Scuba Diving involves a classroom session, a pool session to practice with the equipment and a beautiful dive on a coral reef, all under the close supervision of a PADI Instructor.

  • Minimum Age: 10 years old
  • Pre-requisites: None
  • Inclusions: Dive equipment rental, training session, pool dive, ocean dive, colorful recognition certificate
  • Approximate Time: Half day (2-3 hours)

 

 

Since you’ll love this experience, you’ll likely want to get your PADI licence, and the pool session and dive can count towards your training. Or you can go straight ahead and start the PADI licence immediately.

 

PADI SCUBA DIVER

If you don’t have quite enough time to complete the Open Water course, then you can begin your training and earn the PADI Scuba Diver licence. This includes the first 3 knowledge sections, first 3 pool sessions and first 2 dives in the sea. After successful completion you earn your PADI card allowing you to dive to 12m under the supervision of a PADI Divemaster or Instructor. Again, the card is recognized world-wide and is valid for life, and you can continue your education with the remaining knowledge, pool sessions and dives to upgrade to PADI Open Water Diver at any time.

  • Minimum Age: 10 years old
  • Pre-requisites: Be able to stay afloat for 10 minutes
  • Inclusions: Learning materials, dive equipment rental, training sessions, 3 pool dives, 2 ocean dive, certification
  • Approximate Time: 2 days

 

 

 

PADI OPEN WATER DIVER

This course is an exciting and rewarding experience where you learn to use scuba equipment, plan dives, then get wet and enjoy the wonderful reefs and fish life! The course includes 5 knowledge sections, 5 pool sessions to practice diving skills, and 4 dives in the sea with your instructor to hone skills and have fun. The course takes 3 to 4 days, and after successful completion you earn your PADI card, allowing you to dive to 18m with a qualified buddy (12m with a parent, guardian or PADI professional for 10- and 11-year-old Junior Open Water Divers). The card is recognized around the world and is valid for life!

  • Minimum Age: 10 years old
  • Pre-requisites: Be able to swim 200 meters
  • Inclusions: Learning materials, dive equipment rental, training sessions, 5 pool dives, 4 ocean dive, certification
  • Options: eLearning also available on request (additional fees to PADI Online apply)
  • Approximate Time: 3-4 days

 

 

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE

EFR courses are open to anyone - diver or non-diver - of any age with an interest in learning techniques for emergency response, including first aid and CPR. Participants learn through multimedia (DVD and book), observe demonstrations by an EFR Instructor, practice techniques, and then apply these skills in a series of scenarios. There are several courses available:


Primary and Secondary Care

The Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care course is open to everyone. Techniques for assisting adults in an emergency are covered in the course. For divers in particular, note that this is the recommended course to meet the pre-requisite requirement (current CPR and first aid) for the PADI Rescue Diver course (see below). The Primary and Secondary Care course can also optionally be combined with Care for Children course to include infant and child techniques as well (allow an extra half day for this EFR Combo option).

  • Inclusions: Learning materials, training sessions, certification
  • Approximate time: 1 day



PADI ADVENTURE DIVER

You can earn this certification with 3 Adventure Dives, which can be completed in as little as a single day. A book is provided with this PADI courses, which includes all the Adventure Dives and is a valuable source of information about diving activities.

  • Minimum Age: 10 years old
  • Pre-requisites: PADI Open Water Diver
  • Inclusions: Learning materials, training sessions, 3 dives, equipment rental, certification
  • Approximate Time: 1-2 days



SCUBA REVIEW

For those divers who’ve been out of the water for a while, this refresher offers a chance to brush up on knowledge and skills before embarking on a dive safari or a course. It only takes a couple of hours and will give you the confidence to fully enjoy diving after a break. The knowledge portion of the review is now also available via eLearning online for added convenience. Dive equipment rental is included with this refresher.

 

PADI RESCUE DIVER

Would you like to learn to look beyond your own diving to the safety of other divers and gain some new skills? If yes, then the PADI Rescue Diver course is for you! The course involves knowledge development, rescue training sessions and open water rescue scenarios. Optionally, the knowledge portion of the course can be completed online. Although the nature of the Rescue Diver course is serious, the training can be fun and an enjoyable challenge that builds diver confidence.

  • Minimum Age: 12 years old
  • Pre-requisites: PADI (Junior) Advanced Open Water Diver or PADI (Junior) Adventure Diver with the Navigation Dive, plus EFR Primary and Secondary Care training within last 24 months
  • Inclusions: Learning materials, training sessions, 4 dives, equipment rental, certification
  • Options: eLearning also available on request (additional fees to PADI Online apply)
  • Approximate time: 3 - 4 days

 

 

PADI DIVE MASTER

Ever thought that it would be great to have a diving job in paradise and share your passion of the underwater world with others?

By successfully completing the PADI Divemaster course, you will have the training you need to work as a recreational scuba diving professional. This opens doors for you in the diving industry, where there are full-time, part-time and seasonal positions all over the globe!
Pre-requisites
To qualify for PADI Divemaster training, you will need to:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent).
  • Be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent).
  • Be certified with an Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care qualification (or qualifying first aid and CPR training from another organization) within the past 24 months.
  • Have at least 40 logged open water dives to begin the course and 60 (including night, deep and navigation experience) prior to certification as a Divemaster.
  • Be in good physical condition for diving and submit a RSTC Medical Exam form signed by a physician in the last 12 months.
